5) Right-click it, choose Properties.

Now just add a permission (click "Add...")

Fill in "Domain Users," click OK

With "Domain Users" highlighted in the "Security for Print Spooler" dialog, ensure that the box next to "Start, stop and pause" is checked.

Click OK twice to clear the dialog boxes.

Now link the group policy object to the domain.

Of course, be 100 percent sure to test this on a test domain first!

Backing up the Registry - Three methods

Method 1: Using System Restore

One way to backup the registry is to create a System Restore snapshot. System Restore returns your computer to a previous snapshot without losing recent personal information, such as documents, history lists, favorites, or e-mail. It monitors the computer and many applications for changes and creates restore points. You restore these snapshots when your configuration isn't working. This method is unreliable in case you want to rollback the registry changes made a longtime ago, in which case the System Restore might have purged that particular restore point - due to space constraints or due to a recent system restore point or even a Restore point corruption. Please remember, System Restore points get deleted for many reasons, making it unreliable, especially in the long run.

Method 2: Backing up the selected branch of the registry by exporting

This method is preferred if you're making changes to a specific branch of the registry. To backup a selected key in the registry, use these steps:

•Click Start, and then click Run.

•In the Open box, type regedit.exe, and then click OK

•Locate and then click the key that contains the value that you want to edit

•Right-click on the key and choose Export.

•In the Save in box, select a location where you want to save the Registration Entries (.reg)

•In the File name box, type a file name, and then click Save.

Backing up a selected branch of the registry...

Now that you've created a Registry backup for that particular key. Save the REG file in a safer location in case you want to undo the registry changes made. You can restore the settings by just double-clicking the REG file. It automatically merges the contents to the Registry.

Method 2(a) : Export Registry Keys Using Console Registry Tool

You can use the Console Registry Tool for Windows (Reg.exe) to edit the registry. For help with the Reg.exe tool, type reg /? at the Command Prompt, and then click OK.

For example, to export the key [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IOLO] and it's sub-keys, try this from Command Prompt:

REG EXPORT HKCU\Software\IOLO D:\IOLO.REG

To view the REG contents type notepad D:\iolo.reg in Start, Run dialog. Console Registry Tool is extremely handy if you want to automate the backup task using scripts.

Method 3: Backing up the whole registry

To backup the entire registry (in hive format) you can use the excellent ERUNT (The Emergency Recovery Utility for NT) Utility, which can be used in Windows NT/2000/2003/XP/Vista and also in Windows 7. For more details with screenshots, check out the post Take a complete registry backup using ERUNT.

At first go for a change in the registry of the operating system.
From the Start menu click Run and type the command regedit
. This command opens the system registry to export the files.
After completion of file export delete the entry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\Microsoft Outlook . Finally close the registry Editor and from the Start menu go to the Control Panel and then to the Programs. Select the Microsoft Outlook 2010 from the Programs and Features and click Change.
At the last step click on Repair followed by clicking the Continue button.

Choose the data to be sorted. Left-click and drag to select the data. Ensure that both the data and the headers are included.

Configure the sort options and apply the sort. If you have created column headers, make sure "My data has headers" is selected. Select the column to sort by in the "Sort by" drop-down list. This error can persist even after repairing and reinstalling the software. By this time the program also cannot be started in the Safe Mode. The possible reason behind this issue may be the wrong way of Outlook shutdown which in turn leads to a problematic navigation panel. A couple of possible reasons that outlook shutdown improperly are turning off the computer by the power button instead of doing the proper shutdown of the computer using the start menu or you had a power failure. One way of resolving the error is by running the Outlook.exe /resetnavpane command. If this method does not work then go for running the Inbox Repair tool to overcome the problem.

Windows 7 has resemblance to its predecessor, Windows Vista, in many respects. Speaking of its security, the UAC is one of useful features that has mixed up reactions from Windows users when it was first introduced in Windows Vista. You can turn this off if you work on administrator account in Windows 7 but the administrator account is no where to be seen because it is not activated by default. This post will show you how to activate the account.

Please note before proceeding with the following steps, you don't have actually to activate this account at all unless you need the administrator account for troubleshooting your Windows 7.
Some applications won’t run on Windows Vista because they were designed for earlier versions of Windows. Most of the time, the problem is caused by UAC. You have three choices to work around this:

•Disable UAC.

•Run the application as an administrator each time you open it.

•Mark the application to always run as an administrator.

To mark an application so that UAC automatically prompts you to elevate privileges, follow these steps (after the jump):

1.Right-click the application, and then click Properties.

2.Click the Compatibility tab.

3.Select the Run this program as an administrator checkbox, and then click OK.

Basically there are 2 ways in order to activate the account:

a) Command Prompt

b) Local Security Policy

1. Command Prompt

First you need to run Command Prompt as an administrator. You can do that by right clicking on the command prompt in the program list and choose "Run as administrator".

After that you only need to enter the simple command below to activate it.

net user administrator /active:yes

You can also specify your password for this particular account by using the following command

Net user administrator password

where you can replace "password" with your own password. You can see the account immediately after you logoff your Windows 7. In order to deactivate it, you can use the command below

net user administrator /active:no

This will effectively turn off the administrator account.

2. Local Security Policy

Another way of activating the administrator account in Windows 7 is via Local Security Policy. Type secpol.msc in the search bar and hit enter. After the Local Security Policy pops up, navigate to Local Policies-> Security Options where you can see an entry that reads Accounts: Administrator account. Double click the entry to enable it.

To disable a user account in Windows 7

On the start menu, Right click Computer and click Manage

In the left pane of the Computer Management window, Click Local users and Groups,

In the center pane, double click the user’s folder

Double click the user’s name of the account you want to disable

Method 1: Search for the original document

The original document might not have been removed from the computer. Follow these steps to see whether you can find the document:

Click Start, and then click Search.

In the lower-left corner of the Windows Desktop Search pane, click Click here to use Search Companion, if that option is listed.

In the Search Companion pane, click All Files and Folders.

In the All or part of the file name box, type the name of the document that you want to find.

In the Look in box, click My Computer, and then click Search.

If the search details pane does not contain the document that you are looking for, you might have typed the file name incorrectly or the document might have a different name. Follow these steps to search for all Word documents:

In the Search Companion pane, click Start a new search.

Click All files and folders, and then copy and paste (or type) the following text into the All or part of the file name: box, and then click Search.

If the details pane still does not contain the file that you are looking for, the document might have been moved to the Recycle Bin. To view the Recycle Bin and restore the document if it is there, follow these steps:

On the desktop, double-click Recycle Bin.

On the View menu, click Details.

On the View menu, click Arrange Icons by, and then click Date Deleted.

Scroll through the files.

If you find the document that you are looking for, right-click the document, and then click Restore to return the document to its original location.

Note Microsoft currently does not provide any utilities to recover documents that have been deleted, or emptied from the Recycle Bin. However, some third-party utilities to recover deleted documents may be available on the Internet.

Method 2: Search for Word backup files

If the previous method did not work for you, the main document might be gone. But there might be a backup copy of the document available. The Always create backup copy setting in Word creates backup copies of every document that you create.

First, follow one of these steps to see whether the Always create backup copy setting is enabled:

If you use Microsoft Office Word 2007: Click the Microsoft Office Button, click Word Options in the lower-right corner, and then click Advanced. Scroll through the headings until you find the Save section, which is close to the end of the list. If the Always create backup copy setting, located in the Save section, is selected, Word created a backup copy of the document.

If you use Microsoft Office Word 2003: On the Tools menu, click Options. The Always create backup copy setting is located on the Save tab. If the Always create backup copy setting is selected, Word created a backup copy of the document.

Then, if the Always create backup copy setting is not selected, go to method 3: "Force Word to try to recover a file."

If the Always create backup copy setting is selected, follow these steps to find the backup copy of the lost document:

Locate the folder in which you last saved the missing document.

Look for files that have the .wbk extension.

If there are no files that have the .wbk extension in the original folder, follow these steps to search the computer for all files that have the .wbk extension:

Click Start, and then click Search.

In the lower-left corner of the Windows Desktop Search pane, click Click here to use Search Companion.

In the Search Companion pane, click All Files and Folders.

In the All or part of the file name: box, copy and paste (or type) the following text:

*.wbk

In the Look in box, click My Computer, and then click Search.

If you find any files that are named "Backup of" followed by the name of the missing document, follow these steps to open the backup copy:

Start Word.

Perform one of the following actions:

If you use Word 2007: Click the Microsoft Office Button, click Open, click All Files (*.*) in the Files of type box, locate and select the file, and then click Open.

If you use Word 2003: Click Open on the File menu, click All Files (*.*) in the Files of type box, locate and select the file, and then click Open.

Method 3: Force Word to try to recover a file

If Word did not create a backup copy of the document, you might be able to use the AutoRecover feature to recover the lost document.

Note The AutoRecover feature in Word performs an emergency backup of open documents when an error occurs. Some errors can interfere with creating an AutoRecover file. The AutoRecover feature is not a substitute for saving the document.

If the Save AutoRecover information every [] minutes option is selected, Word creates a temporary AutoRecover file that includes the latest changes in the document. Every time that Word starts, it searches for AutoRecover files. If Word finds any AutoRecover files, it displays the files that it finds in the Document Recovery task pane.

First, to see whether the Save AutoRecover information every [] minutes option is selected, use one of the following steps:

If you use Word 2007: Click the Microsoft Office Button, click Word Options, and then click Save. The Save AutoRecover information every [] minutes option is in the Save documents section.

If you use Word 2003: Click Options on the Tools menu. The Save AutoRecover information every [] minutes option is located on the Save tab.

Then, if the Save AutoRecover information every [] minutes option is selected, try closing Word and reopening it. If the AutoRecover task pane appears on the left side of the screen, click the lost document to restore it.

If the Save AutoRecover information every [] minutes option is not selected, you can try to force Word to recover the document.

Use one of the following steps to force Word to recover the document:

If you use Word 2007: Click the Microsoft Office Button, click Open, select the Word document, click the down arrow on the Open button in the lower-right corner of the Open screen, and then click Open and Repair.

If you use Word 2003: Click Open on the File menu, select the Word document, click the down arrow on the Open button in the lower-right corner of the Open screen, and then click Open and Repair.

Method 4: Manually recover AutoRecover files

If Word could not open the AutoRecover file automatically or through the Open and Repair option, the AutoRecover file might be saved in a nondefault location. You might have to look for the AutoRecover file manually.

Follow these steps to search for AutoRecover files manually:

Click Start, and then click Search.

In the lower-left corner of the Windows Desktop Search pane, click Click here to use Search Companion, if that option is listed.

In the Search Companion pane, click All Files and Folders.

In the All or part of the file name: box, copy and paste (or type) the following text:

*.ASD

In the Look in box, click My Computer.

Click Search.

If a file that is named DocumentName.asd appears in the details pane, follow these steps to open the document:

Start Word.

Follow one of these steps:

If you use Word 2007: Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Open.

If you use Word 2003: Click Open on the File menu.

In the File of type list, click All Files (*.*).

Locate and select the .asd file.

Click Open.

Restart the computer.

Start Word.

If Word finds the AutoRecover file, the Document Recovery task pane opens on the left side of the screen, and the lost document is listed as DocumentName [Original] or as DocumentName [Recovered]. If this occurs, perform one of the following actions:

In Word 2007, double-click the file in the Document Recovery task pane, click the Microsoft Office Button, click Save As, and then save the document as a .docx file.

In Word 2003, double-click the file in the Document Recovery task pane, click Save As on the File menu, and then save the document as a .doc file.

Note If an AutoRecover file in the Recovery pane does not open correctly, go to the "How to troubleshoot damaged documents" section for more information about how to open damaged files.

If you could not find an AutoRecover file or a backup of the lost document, you might be able to recover the document from your temporary files.

To search for the lost document in your temporary files, follow these steps:

How to troubleshoot damaged documents

Word automatically tries to recover a damaged document if it detects a problem with the document. You can also force Word to try to recover a document when you open it.

Follow these steps to force Word to recover the document:

Follow one of these steps, depending on the version of Word that you use:

If you use Word 2007: Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Open.

If you use Word 2003: Click Open on the File menu.

In the Files of type list, click All Files (*.*).

In the Open dialog box, select the document.

Just make sure you have something to link a contact to Ex. a task, meeting.
Open up outlook 2003
When completely open, open up your contact list
Click on a contact and open up that contacts info form
Click on action in the contact form taskbar
Click on link then click on items
Click on the item you want.
Highlight the item then click applies then ok
Then back in the contact form
Click on activities to see if the item is now linked
to the contact.

We have all had a computer freeze or lockup
To help ease this situation do a scan for spyware, and adware
also increase your virtual memory which maximizes the usage of your ram memory.
A way to increase to virtual memory is listed below

FOR XP

Click the start button and then click on control panel
click on performance and maintenence then click on system
on the advanced tab under performance click settingson the advanced tab under virtual memory
click change.
under the drive volume click the drive that your paging file resides on usually C
under the paging file size check the custom size box you can enter the size you want
make the size usually is 1.5 times the size of your ram memory.
make the minimum and maximum values the same this keeps the cpu from changing the values.
click the set button and restart your computer.

To turn on the GMail vacation responder,
click on settings, then scroll down to vacation responder
set the first day vacation starts
change the date by double clicking on the date listed in first date
do the same for the last day
put a short description in the subject line and add a brief message in the message body
then click the vacation responder on button
save the changes
this will send a reply to all mail sent by your contact list.

Blocking sites

Need to block certain sites from viewing
click on start, click on control panel, click Internet options, click on the security tab
select the restricted sites zone and then click on the sites button
add the web site you want to block to the list
click OK
then try to access that site to see if done properly

If the history box in internet options is greyed out
log in as the administrator
click on start than click on run , type in regedit
when the registry opens
open the plus sign for hkey_current_users, then open up software, then open policies, then open up microsoft, then open up internet explorers
there should be a key for history
set the default key to zero
save changes
then close out internet explorer and reopen internet explorer, click on tools, then internet options
the history button should now function properly

To find out your ip address and also see if you are connected
click the start button in the lower left hand corner of your screen
then click on run and in the dialog box that appears, type in cmd and click enter or ok
The command prompt will open up and then you should type in ipconfig /all
and you will see not only ip address but some other pertinent information
